Where and Why?
Works will be undertaken to carry out bridge maintenance. This will include the replacement of bridge joints and resurfacing of the carriageway on the A465, Pont Neath Vaughan Viaduct starting 21/02/21.
Diversions and Safety Measures
The work will generally be carried out at night-time, under a series of eastbound and westbound total closures between Glynneath Interchange and Rhigos Roundabout. Drivers may expect to see some lane closures during the daytime. The recognised diversion route will be via the A4061 and B4242 county roads.
Vehicles exceeding 2.9m in width will be prohibited through the works. The diversion route will utilise the M4, A470, and A465.

09/03/21 – 10/03/21 - Eastbound total closure 20:00hrs – 06:00hrs
10/03/21 – 12/03/21 - Eastbound total closure 20:00hrs – 06:00hrs
15/03/21 – 16/03/21 - Eastbound total closure 20:00hrs – 06:00hrs
17/03/21 – 19/03/21 – Westbound total closure 20:00hrs – 06:00hrs
22/03/21 – 23/03/21 – Westbound total closure 20:00hrs – 06:00hrs
