Where and Why?
Works to further enhance the zebra crossing will shortly commence on the A470 in Glan Conwy. These works will be short duration and will include extending surfacing of the footway on the east side to the property known as ‘Benarth’, additional road markings including a high friction surfacing on the approaches and localised kerbing works.
Diversions and Safety Measures
The work will be carried out over 3 weeks between 07:30 – 17:00 with traffic lights remaining until works are complete. The traffic lights will be manned during peak times to minimise delays. The works will be carried out under lane closures.
Pedestrian access along the A470 may be restricted at times but we will keep disruption to a minimum.
The works are being carried out to enhance the crossing and whilst traffic flows are low to minimise disruption.
Parking may be restricted at times. Please avoid parking by the sections of road that the contractor will be working on. This will help us to complete the work as quickly and efficiently as possible.
Programme of traffic management restrictions
Lane closures and footway closure. Arrangements will be in place for access to properties, businesses and bin collections.
