Where and Why?

Widening of circulatory, installation of Traffic signals and upgrade to the Street Lighting.

Diversions and Safety Measures

The works will be carried out during extended day shifts over the entire week during this current period of low traffic flows to reduce the disruption to the public. The traffic volumes will be continually monitored throughout the duration of the scheme to ensure that disruption to the public is reduced as much as possible.

Update 11.09.20

The initial phase of these works will be completed by October 6th 2020. This is due to the amended work programme which was adopted to allow for more road capacity at this junction in response to the increase in traffic once travel restrictions were lifted.

Current traffic management measures will be removed from the A470 and the roundabout following the completion of this initial phase of these works. Current traffic signals will remain operational to manage traffic flows pending commissioning of the permanent signals.
