We’re doing everything we can to keep our network running smoothly. This includes operating our Traffic Officer service, however, due to the Covid-19 outbreak we’ve implemented a new system of communication.
We’re kindly asking the public to help us by following the Traffic Officers instructions in the event of a breakdown on the network. Drivers will be handed an information sheet which will outline simple steps to ensure their safety whilst also allowing Traffic Officers to practise social distancing. Traffic Officers may also ask for your mobile number to help with communication.
Please ensure that you always maintain social distance between yourself and the Traffic Officers that will be assisting you.
Check your vehicle is roadworthy before setting off on journeys of any length. This helps reduce demand on the service and allows and us to focus resources on where they’re needed most.
Please note recovery agents have also changed their practises due to social distancing advice. If they’re unable to fix your vehicle at the roadside they may not be able to transport you in our vehicles and will try to make alternative arrangements to make sure you get to where you need to go.
