Essential maintenance work to M4 River Usk Bridge (near J25A and J25) to waterproof areas of the bridge deck.
There will be overnight closures in advance and weekend closures during the main works as detailed below.
Provisional: 6 October, (22:00) - 9 October, (06:00):
- Provisional weekend closure of the eastbound carriageway, the event of delay to planned closures due to unforeseen circumstances.
Provisional: 13 October - 16 October:
- Provisional weekend closure eastbound carriageway, in the event of delay to planned closures due to unforeseen circumstances.
Westbound Closure:During westbound closures traffic to be diverted between J24 and J28. Traffic will be able to leave the M4 for Caerleon at J25 and Cwmbran J25A. Traffic will be able to join the M4 at J26 and J27.
Eastbound Closure:During eastbound closures traffic to be diverted between J28 and J24. Traffic will be able to leave the M4 at J27 Highcross and to Cwmbran and Caerleon at J26. Traffic will be able to join the M4 at J25A.
