The Menai Bridge is currently under repair. The works are due to finish in Spring 2027.
Traffic restrictions are in place for the duration of the works.
- Only vehicles up to 7.5 tonne and under 3 metres in height are allowed to cross the bridge.
- Vehicles over these limits will need to use the Britannia Bridge.
A 20mph speed limit is in place on the suspension bridge along with speed management measures.

Upcoming Roadworks
A single-lane closure will be in place on Menai Suspension Bridge from 08:00-18:00 on 13th August – 16th August. This is to allow routine maintenance work to be carried out on the upper deck. Traffic lights will be in place to manage the flow of vehicles. The 7.5-tonne weight limit remains in place.
All vehicles over the weight and height restrictions should use A55 Britannia Bridge.
