Where & Why?
As a result of highway verge failure, a Side Support scheme is to commence on Monday 16th March 2020 at A483 North of Cynghordy, Llandovery, Carmarthenshire for approx. 17 weeks duration. Temporary road closures will be necessary initially in order to install a temporary barrier (vehicle restraint system) & at the end of the scheme for surfacing.
Diversions & Safety Measures
The first temporary closure is planned for Tuesday 17 March 2020 between the hours of approx.19.00 hrs and 23.30.
For north east bound traffic continue eastwards along the A40 through Llandovery and Sennybridge to Tarrell Roundabout Brecon. Continue along the A40 to Brynich Roundabout Brecon then proceed northbound along the A470 to Builth Wells. At Builth proceed onto the westbound A483 via Llanwrtyd Wells to return to the point of closure. Vice versa for south west bound traffic.
There will be an exemption for emergency services and access to properties will be maintained.
