Work to carry out essential carriageway resurfacing to a section of the A470 at Newbridge-on-Wye Village in Powys will commence on 14/09/2026 to 26/09/2026 excluding weekends.
All work to be undertaken at night-time with a road closure. Working hours are 19:00 hrs to 06:00. No work planned for Saturday or Sunday Nights.
Phase 1 (Resurfacing)
South Section of village from the C1210 Powys County road junction (leading to Brynwern) to the north side of the B4358 junction (New Inn).
Phase 2 (Resurfacing)
North Section of village from the north side of the B4358 junction (New Inn) to the north side of the B4358 junction (Beulah Road).
Phase 3 (Road markings and specialist surface treatments)
Whole of A470 through the village from the C1210 Powys County road junction (leading to Brynwern) to the north side of the B4358 junction (Beulah Road).
The works are being carried out overnight when traffic flows are lower to minimise disruption.
