Work to carry out essential carriageway resurfacing to a section of the A470 at Ty-Gwyn, East of Builth Wells, Powys will commence on the 07/09/2026 for 7 nights.
The work will be carried out over 7 nights 19:00 – 07:00 under a full carriageway closure. The signed diversion will be on trunk roads.
The works are being carried out overnight when traffic flows are lower to minimise disruption.

For southbound traffic: from the northern closure point at Builth Wells, travel southwest on the A483 to Llandovery then east on the A40 to Brecon, then north on the A470 towards Builth Wells to the southern extent of the closure. The route is reversed for northbound traffic.
