Work to carry out essential carriageway maintenance to a 1.5 km section of the A40 Trunk Road west of White Mill and 1.7 km section east of White Mill, Carmarthenshire.
Works will commence on 08/06/2026 for a total of 7 nights.
The work will be carried out over the course of 7 nights between 8 - 17 June 2026 from 20:00 – 06:00 under a full carriageway closure.
Resurfacing works will extend from Abergwili Roundabout towards White Mill for approximately 1.5km and further east from White Mill towards Nantgaredig for 1.7km.
The work will be carried out during the night under a full carriageway closure.
The main alternative route for eastbound vehicles is utilising the A48 from Pensarn Roundabout towards M4 Junction 49 Pont Abraham Roundabout and north along the A483 towards Llandeilo where the A40 can be rejoined. The route will be vice versa for westbound travelling vehicles.
The works are being carried out using a full carriageway closure to ensure the safety of the workforce and the travelling public.
