Work to carry out essential drainage works on A465 near the Lancaster Arms in Pandy. Works will start 26/01/2026 and the first tranche of works are due to finish at the end of February. Additional works to be confirmed.
The project is required to improve the flow of highway drainage and watercourses over a length of the A465 in Pandy, north of Abergavenny. Existing culverts and other drainage assets will be upgraded and replaced.
The initial phase of work to divert services in preparation for the main drainage scheme will be carried out on the unnamed side road over 4 weeks 26/01/2026 to 11/02/2026. Works will carried out during the daytime under a complete closure of the side road, although access to properties will be available at all times The side road will remain closed for the full period.
To complete, the works will move to the main A465 and will again be undertaken during the daytime, under lane closures and temporary traffic signals. Lane closure to remain in place for the duration between 12/02/2026 to 27/02/2026, switching between lanes when required.
For the side road closure, traffic will be locally diverted via the adjacent A465.
