Work to carry out essential carriageway resurfacing to a 5km section of the A48 westbound carriageway between Foelgastell Junction and Llanddarog Junction will commence on 18/03/2026 for 3 nights (weather permitting).
The work will be carried out over the 3 nights 20:00 – 06:00 under a full westbound carriageway closure between Foelgastell Junction and Llanddarog Junction. During the day, single lane closures will remain in place.
The works are being carried out overnight in March when traffic flows are historically lower to minimise disruption.
Traffic will be diverted at cross hands junction along Pontardulais road/ Carmarthen road to Drefach and along the B4310 to Llanddarog.
