Essential patching works – 27/03/2026 to 31/03/2026 between 20:00 – 06:00
Work to carry out essential carriageway patching to sections of the A483 northbound and southbound carriageways between J3 Croesfoel interchange to J5 Mold Road interchange will commence on the 27/03/2026 for 4 nights.
The work will be carried out over the 4 nights 20:00 – 06:00 under full carriageway closures. Traffic will be diverted as below:
27/03/2026 – J5 to J4 southbound closure, traffic will be diverted onto A541 Mold Road / Regent Street towards Wrexham, turn right at Regent Street traffic signals towards A5152 Bradley Road, traffic will then turn right at Bradley Road / Ruthin Road traffic signals onto A525 Ruthin Road and return to A483 at J4 Ruthin Road interchange.
28/03/2026 – J4 to J5 northbound closure, traffic will be diverted onto A525 Ruthin Road, then turn left at Ruthin Road traffic lights onto A5125 Bradley Road, then follow the one-way system Central Road onto A541 Regent Street / Mold Road and return to J5 Mold Road Interchange.
29/03 - 31/03/2026 – J3 to J4 northbound closure, traffic will be diverted onto A5152 Wrexham Road / Ruabon Road and take first exit onto A5152 Victoria Road at the roundabout, turn left at A5152 Victoria Road traffic lights onto A525 Ruthin Road and re-join A483 at J4 Ruthin Road interchange.
The works are being carried out when traffic flows are historically lower to minimise disruption.
