Construction of 2 culverts and associated filter drainage improvements.
We will be replacing two existing culverted watercourses that cross the A470 just North of Rhayader that will also incorporate the refurbishment of the existing filter drainage along a 300m section of the A470 that is currently susceptible to flooding from surface water and overtopping of the unnamed watercourses.
The works will be undertaken between 26th February and 11th June 2024.
The work will be carried out without the need for any road closures, however temporary 2-way traffic lights will be in use 24 hours a day during the construction period.
Every effort will be made to remove all temporary traffic management from the network over the Easter weekend and other embargo periods.
