Work to carry out essential carriageway resurfacing to a 3.1Km section of both M4 eastbound and westbound carriageways will commence on 30/09/2024 for 11 nights.
7-9 October
- Overnight closure from 20:00 – 06:00 eastbound between J45 offslip and J46 onslip.
14-19 October
- Overnight closure from 20:00 – 06:00 eastbound between J45 offslip and J46 onslip.
The works are being carried out overnight in October when traffic flows are historically lower to minimise disruption.
Traffic for the eastbound lane will be diverted at J46 Eastbound offslip, around the A48/M4/B4489 roundabout, along the A48, around the A48/A4067 (Neath Rd) roundabout onto the A4067 (Northbound) and rejoins the M4 Westbound carriageway using the onslip from the A4067 roundabout.
Traffic for the westbound lane will be diverted at the J45 westbound offslip, around the A4067 roundabout, along the A4067, joining the A48 via the southbound offslip on the A4067, along the A48 and rejoins the M4 westbound carriageway via the westbound offslip from the A48/M4/B4489 roundabout
