Asphalt preservation treatment of both westbound and eastbound carriageways between Brynich and Tarell roundabouts

Work to apply carriageway asphalt preservation treatment to a 4Km section of the A40 Brecon Bypass dual carriageway between Brynich and Tarell Roundabouts. The work will commence on 28 June 2025 and is scheduled for 4 nights.

The work will be carried out over the 4 nights 18:30 – 06:00 under closures of either the westbound or eastbound carriageways (only one carriageway to be closed at any time).

The works are being carried out overnight when traffic flows are lower to minimise disruption.

For westbound carriageway closures traffic will be diverted from the A40 Brynich roundabout (southeast of Brecon) onto the A470 north to Builth Wells, then the A483 southwest to Llandovery and the A40 east to the A40 Tarell roundabout (southwest of Brecon).

This route is reversed during periods when the eastbound carriageway is closed.
