Start date: 27/01/26 | End date: March 2026
A section of the A40 dual carriageway between Brynich Roundabout and the village of Llanhamlach (approximately 2.7km) is undergoing a safety review following recent changes in accident data along the route. The aim of this review is to improve road user safety and reduce the risk of collisions.
The works on site have now been completed, except for the reinstatement of white lines and road studs. Unfortunately, recent weather conditions have prevented this final element from being carried out.
To ensure the safety of road users, temporary traffic management will remain in place in both directions and speed restriction of 40mph is still in place
Thank you to everyone for your patience and cooperation.
Traffic will be diverted along the A470 / A438 / A479 between Brynich Roundabout and Crickhowell.
