Work to carry out essential carriageway resurfacing to a 6Km section of the A470 eastbound carriageway between Pontypridd and Abercynon will commence on 02/02/2026 for 16 nights.
The work will be carried out over the 16 nights 20:00 – 06:00 under a full eastbound carriageway closure between Pontypridd and Abercynon.
The works are being carried out overnight in February when traffic flows are historically lower to minimise disruption.
Traffic will be diverted at bridge street interchange northbound, onto the A4054 roundabout and returning onto the northbound A470 carriageway via Abercynon roundabout.
