A477 Nash Fingerpost Junction

Start date: 28 May | End date: Mid-September

A477 Nash Fingerpost

Work to modify the existing junction, install new traffic signals and street lighting at Nash Fingerpost junction to commence on 28/05/2024 for 18 weeks.

The contractor will be working up to 12 hours a day, 6-days a week from Sunday to Friday 7am-7pm. 24 hour temporary traffic signals are required for the whole duration of the programme for the safety of the motorists manoeuvring the junction and operatives whilst we undertake the improvements.

•    Phase 1 works – Eastbound commencing  28th May 2024 and scheduled for completion middle of July 2024
•    Phase 2 works – Westbound would commence in July and continue up to the Summer Embargo period
•    All works will be suspended over the full Summer Embargo period from 22nd August to 27th August 2024
•    Works will recommence on 27th August until mid-September 2024.

It is essential that these works take place to improve road safety at this location. Every effort will be made to minimise disruption during the summer months.

Due to the sensitivity of the route during the summer months, the temporary signals will be manual controlled as necessary to ensure the delays are minimised as much as possible.
